A Modern Twist on Italian Luxury: Remodeled Suites at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
As an all-suite resort, these are the largest standard rooms to be had on the Strip—and now, 4,000 of these suites are getting a fresh new look, and many are available to rest your head already. Now featuring a contemporary twist inspired by the Carnival of Venice, each suite is equipped with a luxe cache of amenities that make us wish our lives could always be as effortless as they are on vacation. And if you needed another reason to visit? Remodelista favorite Gjelina, the Southern California restaurant group, has opened one of their acclaimed farm-to-table outposts at the resort.

Above: A palette of deep burgundy, cream, and gold echoes the sumptuous elegance and flair of costumes from the Carnival of Venice. We especially like the detail of matching the headboard hue to the wall behind the bed: The wash of color feels unexpected and luxurious. The designers specially commissioned wall art highlighting Renaissance techniques to tie together the palette.
Above: Each plush leather headboard disguises a practical detail: a built-in reading light and switch. Energy-efficient mood lighting, powered by LED bulbs, is adjustable to fit any situation. Sculptural side tables flank each bed, echoing the dramatic, swooping lines of traditional Venetian Carnival masks like the bauta. Above: A few steps down from the bedroom, a lush L-shaped sofa anchors the sunken living space. An unexpected detail: The designers used multiple shades and types of marble throughout the suites, imparting an eclectic-yet-cohesive feel. Suites are also equipped with 65-inch ultra high-definition LED-backlit TVs.
Above: The designers added visual interest to the living space by mixing fabrics, colors, and textures. Chenille, velvet, and gold come together to form a vision of contemporary luxury. Above: Each ensuite bathroom was designed to reflect the traditional opulence of the original Venetian design, featuring the same richly colored marble that appears throughout the resort. Italian marble floors and an oversized bath add to the spa-like atmosphere.
